Ember Choral Arts is committed to ensuring that all patrons, employees and volunteers have all of the resources that they need to enjoy our “Music With A Message.” Below are some of the services that we make available. Services for Patrons with Hearing Loss
Assistive Listening
Assistive Listening Devices are available to any audience member making a request for such service at least two weeks before the desired concert date. Requests may be made by calling 888-407-6002 Ext. 2 or emailing operations@emberarts.org.
Closed Captioning
The design of our performance venues dictates, unfortunately, that no closed captioning is possible. Texts and translations are printed in the concert program and are available online.
Services for Patrons with Vision Loss
Braille Materials
Braille program materials, excluding advertisements, are available to any audience member making a request for such service at least two weeks before the desired concert date. Requests may be made by calling 888-407-6002 Ext. 2 or emailing operations@emberarts.org.
Large-Print Materials
Large print program materials including translations, but not including advertisements, are available at every concert.

Accessible Seating
All concerts feature general admission seating with no gradations of costs attributed to seating in certain areas. Seating charts indicating special seating areas for wheelchair placement, and patrons with service animals are available at each concert.
Range of Ticket Prices
Tickets are all equally priced. Upon request, an additional seat at no charge will be issued to any person with accessibility needs. Two additional seats will be set aside adjacent to the patron with accessibility needs at regular ticket prices. Requests must be made a minimum of 2 weeks before the desired concert. Requests may be made by calling 888-407-6002 Ext. 2 or emailing operations@emberarts.org.
Discount Tickets
Based on need, we will reduce ticket price by $10 for a person with accessibility needs and one companion. Requests must be made a minimum of 2 weeks before the desired concert. Requests may be made by calling 888-407-6002 Ext. 2 or emailing operations@emberarts.org.
Marketing Materials, Advanced Notification, & Outreach
Ember Choral Arts sends notices to the NJ Commission for the Blind and the NJ Division of Deaf and Hard of Hearing to forward to their respective constituencies regarding special accommodations for upcoming concerts.
Facility Accessibility
Accessible Parking
Given two weeks notice for concerts at our customary venues, we will reserve a parking spot near the entrance to the building. Patrons may enter the building directly from the vehicle prior to the vehicle’s being parked. Ember Choral Arts will utilize the Tour Rider for accessibility at other venues. Requests may be made by calling 888-407-6002 Ext. 2 or emailing operations@emberarts.org.
Venue Accessibility
Most venues are completely compliant. Ember Choral Arts will utilize the Tour Rider for accessibility at other venues.
Accessibility guides for some of our regular venues:
St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, Morristown, New Jersey: St. Peter’s Church is ADA compliant featuring handicap signage and accessible entrances and an elevator on the north side of the building as well as handicap parking spaces in the main lot.
St. Johns in the Village, New York, N.Y. is fully ADA compliance including Elevator Access: The facility has elevator access to navigate between different levels of Thaxter Hall; a Wheelchair Lift: A lift is installed to provide wheelchair access to the Sanctuary level and Accessible Seating: The sanctuary features newly constructed wheelchair-accessible pew spaces.
ADA-Compliant Signage
ADA-compliant signage is posted on all entrances and bathroom facilities for all our customary venues. Ember Choral Arts will utilize the Tour Rider for accessibility at other venues.
Accessible Box Office
There is an accessible box office table at the entry for each venue.
Performance and Dressing Room Space
The holding and staging areas (offstage) for performers in all of our customary performance venues meet all requirements for accessibility including elevators and same-level access. Ember Choral Arts will utilize the Tour Rider for accessibility at other venues.
